Hello, friends!
My name is Niki (well, technically Nicole). I am 26 years young and live in the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan (read: middle of nowhere).
I graduated with a doctorate in physical therapy from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (yes, that’s a mouthful) in June 2009. I work as a full-time Physical Therapist at a great company and love what I do and the people I work with!
May 31, 2008 was the greatest day of my life second greatest day of my life.
The greatest day of my life was August 22, 2010.
I’m a pretty lucky girl. :)
As you may be able to tell from the name of this blog, I love to run. I have been a casual runner since college, running 3 miles 2 or 3 times a week. In January 2009, I decided I needed a bit of motivation to keep me going through the winter, and signed up for a half marathon on May 17, 2009.
Now I am hooked!! I ran my second half marathon on September 26 another on October 24, 2009.
I always wanted to be one of those cute pregnant runners that kept going up until a few weeks before I gave birth. Alas, the pure exhaustion of the 1st trimester sidelined me a little bit (seriously, you don’t know tired until you have been pregnant!!), but the real killer was pubic symphysis pain for the last 4 months of my pregnancy.
So, after almost a year-long hiatus, I’m getting back into the groove of things and signed up for the Cellcom Green Bay Half Marathon on May 15, 2011! And to really get myself motivated, I have also registered for the 2011 Chicago Marathon! Eek!!
Here are a few random facts about me:
1. I am a huge, obsessive, very serious Green Bay Packers fan.
2. I hate talking on the phone. I feel like I never have anything interesting to say!
3. Four days after I got my driver’s license, I hit a bear with my 1984 Chevy Celebrity.
4. One of my favorite things to do is curl up on the couch with a mug of tea and a good book.
5. There is not much better than a margarita on the rocks after a long day.
6. I’m a big goof-ball.

Hi! Your wedding pictures are phenomenal! I came over here from Paige’s blog. I noticed you live in Michigan? I’ve vacationed every year since I was young in Boyne City and visited Petosky, Charlevoix, Harbor Springs, etc. You anywhere close to there? Nice to ‘meet’ ya.

I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, so if you went up to “Northern” Michigan and then kept going north….I’d be there!

Niki, I just found your blog and love it! I just started running May of this year and have completed my first 10k, with a big goal of a marathon by Oct of next year. I am stoked that you have completed a few half marathons and am excited to follow you on your running adventures!
